Scope of This Notice
This privacy notice concerns the processing of personal data of individuals who visit arasselcuk.com; use an appointment or contact form; or contact our clinic by telephone, email, social media or other digital channels. It explains how data obtained through our website and pre-contact processes are used. In-clinic examinations, diagnosis, treatment and patient-file records are assessed under health legislation and the separate notices provided during those processes.
Data Controller and Contact
Your personal data are processed by Aras Selcuk Advanced Dentistry, acting as data controller. The data controller is the natural or legal person that determines the purposes and means of processing and is responsible for data security. For information about your data, this notice, our processing activities or your rights under Turkish data-protection law, contact us at info@arasselcuk.com or through our clinic's other contact channels.
Personal Data We Process
For contact and appointment requests, we may process identity and contact data such as your name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, subject of your request and message content. When you use our website, we may also process your IP address, visit time, referring page, browser and device information, security logs, cookie preferences and limited usage data sent by your browser. Information that may constitute health data is considered only when necessary and with safeguards required by applicable legislation.
Purposes of Processing
We process personal data only as necessary to receive and assess appointment requests; respond through a suitable contact channel; provide the general information you request about examinations and treatments; manage communications; improve service quality and visitor experience; operate IT and data-security processes; establish evidence in potential disputes; and fulfil legal obligations. Your data are not used for purposes outside these grounds or for any activity without a legal basis.
Legal Grounds and Special Categories of Data
We process personal data on legal grounds set out in Article 5 of Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, including where expressly provided by law, directly related to establishing or performing a contract, necessary to fulfil a legal obligation, necessary to establish, exercise or protect a right, or necessary for legitimate interests. We obtain explicit consent where required. Special-category personal data, such as health data, are processed only where permitted by law, in accordance with Article 6 and with additional technical and administrative security measures. Please avoid sharing unnecessary details about your health in web forms.
Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data are not sold, rented or shared with third parties for marketing without your permission. Data may be transferred only as necessary to legally authorised public institutions and organisations, competent authorities to fulfil our legal obligations, and service providers that provide IT, communications or archiving support and are subject to confidentiality obligations. These transfers are made with data-security measures, in accordance with the conditions set out in Articles 8 and, where applicable, 9 of Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.
Retention Period
We retain personal data for the period required by the relevant processing purpose, considering retention periods prescribed by health, tax, commercial and other applicable legislation. When the retention period ends, the purpose of processing no longer exists or there is no legal ground, your data are securely deleted, destroyed or anonymised, subject to legal obligations and limitation periods for potential disputes. For detailed information, you may review the official regulation on deletion of personal data.
Data Security Measures
We apply up-to-date technical and administrative measures to prevent unauthorised access to, unlawful processing, loss, alteration, disclosure or misuse of personal data. Access rights are limited to role and need; authorised personnel are informed of confidentiality obligations; access controls and security logs are used in digital systems; and processes are reviewed regularly. Nevertheless, no transmission of data over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
